The Exhibition Series Launches at Barking Riverside

Barking Riverside London, in partnership with Creative Barking and Dagenham and Studio 3 Arts, will be running a series of exhibitions in the new Experience Suite. The first exhibition, People and Places: Life in Barking and Dagenham - open to the public on the 4th May 2017 between 3pm and 5pm.

Barking Riverside's resident seals made a surprise return onto the protected mudflats of the River Thames. The common seal was sighted recently at Barking Riverside London where it rolled around happily on the muddy banks of the river Thames and basked for hours in the sun.
Where do the plants go after the RHS Chelsea Flower Show?

This spring, the landscape, architecture and art collective Wayward is collaborating with Barking Riverside London, DF Clark and Futurecity to produce an innovative recycling scheme: to rehome many of the plants and materials from the world’s most prestigious flower show.
As part of an ambitious community exchange, with the support of a volunteer team, thousands of recycled plants and materials will be redistributed to local schools and community gardens, creating a lasting legacy for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017.
